There's a Nirvana song in my head that I just cant get out. Its something from the MTV unplugged thing (never heard it on record, just seen it on TV)and I dont know the name, and, as I have only the first album (its not on there) I cant figure which song it is.
Its a 2 or 3 chord thing. I think the verse starts with 'I do blah blah blah.... (or 'I do think...') Cant remember the words, just the melody and rythm is fastened in my brain. I think the chorus has something like ' I cant see you every night...' and then a word extended, rhyming with freeeeee or breeeaaaathe, or something like that. Anyone know which song it is? Its driving me nuts!

that song would be "About A Girl". its the first on the unplugged soundtrack and its on bleach "i think" but im not sure. that song is my favorite acoustic by cobain and the lyrics actually make sense.

P.S.: cobain wrote this song about Tracy Marander (if you know who that is). he just didnt have the guts to tell her it was about her.

ah right :)

yeah, nevermind is nirvanas second and least good album.
I say 'least good' because i dont think nirvana ever made a 'bad' album, in fact nevermind is an amazing album - i just think nirvana have done better.

I would recommend Bleach (their first album) or my personal favourite In Utero.

Bleach is a classic. Also I'd say get ******icide but it isn't actually an "album", it's more less a collection of b-sides they thought that would of been good on an album. And it's a good album. Also, d/l some of there b-side/rares from Outcesticide. I think there rares was well done and some should at least made record.

months upon months of tracking them down track by track using the wonders on the internet, i couldnt tell u exactly where cos im not sure myself.

I have many other bootleg albums, most of which are just concerts, but a few compilations like 'trick or treat' or 'grunge is dead'

then of course theres my personal favourites, loads of radio sessions they did and a few assorted interviews.

You could say im somewhat of a nirvana collector/historian :)
