Here is a dumb clip I did with my Mark IV, just to see how the record line out on it worked. It was one take, sloppy as hell, of a riff I made up five mins earlier, but man that distotion has balls IMO. Needless to say I was pretty pleased. I'll have to try to do a whole song one of these days. i used Cool Edit Pro and copied the clip once and EQ'd one with more bass and mids than the other. It is kinda hissy cause it is a line out, can't wait to get a real mic. Also, I think there is a little too much treble in the mix, but lemme know what you guys think for tone.

Helps to put the address in:

I though that the distortion sounded nice and heavy. I liked the tone (but also thought there was a bit too much treble), but there was a lot of hissing. It was a lot better than what I thought line outs were supposed to sound like. It should sound reaaaallly awesome with a mic. I liked that riff btw (even though you made it up 5 minutes earlier)...

Thanks for the compliments, I think I'm going to order a SM57 tonight. That should allow me to get a lot more natural sound out of it. But still, for a line out, I was very pleased.
