Here is a of one of my band's songs, "Car Wreck", at least the first portion of it (to be used on our demo). I would like some feedback as what you think of the quality of the recording/mixing. The equiptment used to record was a SM57, a walmart mic, and a 4 channel mixer into a computer running cool edit pro. Other equiptment used was a Crate BX100, an ESP 5 string, an EC1000 w/ 81's, a Mark IV on one side and a XXX on the other. Let me know what you think of the recording, thanks.

Anyone? :D I would like comments on overall tone, drums, and the mix in general. My band is working our demo and before we get really into it I would like some general comments on the mix, sound etc.; so we can correct something that sounds bad if we need to.

Many Thanks.

Ryan

I thought the riff was pretty cool. The bass seemed a little muddy, but not too bad. Overall I thought it sounded very cool, Everything seemed to blend good in the mix except when the riff changed at :32 the rythm seemed a little overpowering the lead guitar. Great job :D.
