I have a Yamaha MG12/4 mixer and a soundblaster 24 card. Could someone be so kind and tell me how to go about hooking these up?

I use a Y cable and hook the record out on the mixer into the line in on the computer. The line in records better for me than the mic in. Give that a shot.
