I am attempting to write My first song.
Is there a formula to wriitng music? my problem is I have the lyrics written but can't seem to get the music to sound properly arranged ,the song sounds to basic it needs something ,I have the chorus and a bridge but can't seem to figure out were a solo should go ir if it just need some fill from the second guitar

With the stuff we do the solo break comes after the second verses or just after the first chorus. This is not cast in stone, see it it fits.

After giving this some thought --- Some of our songs do not have a break or a chorus, just depends on the song.
