Hi all. This is my first post here. I thought I'd share a technique called harp harmonics. You may have heard Eric Johnson use them. They're those pretty harmonics that are sounded simultaneous to a picked note. Here's how you do it.
Start with a nice easy chord like Am11 (just barre your finger across all 6 strings at the fifth fret). Then hold your pick between your thumb and second finger. Arpeggiate the chord in whatever order you like lightly touching the string you are picking at the 17th fret (12 frets above the fretted note) with your first finger. It takes a bit of getting used to but it's a very nice technique.
Enjoy!
