Yes it is, it contains classical style chords that need to be played with the thumb and one or more fingers, necessitating fingerpicking.

On the album version it is fingerpicked. Live, Jaymz plays it with a pick. He doesn't pick all the notes, he like picks a few then plays the chords.

Actually, he picks the bass strings with a Plec, and the other strings with his fingers. Except for the last solo, which is played with a plec all the way

nah man, take a look at 'A Year & A Half...' again man. It's all fingers. And live, he may have done it a couple of times in the begining of their tours for the black album. But in '92 he stopped playin that way. Just take a look at Cunning Stunts/S&M and any bootleg passed '92 (I have the wimbldon [sp] concert that was done in 92' and etc bootlegs passed that)
I really need to stop with this metallica stuff aye? =]
