I know you probabily get these threads all the time, so sorry!
OK, I'm looking to buy a new 6-string electric guitar. My Budget isn't that high, i'd say about $200. I was recently looking at the Ibanez Gio GRX40.
But what i wondered was if anyone knew of any other alternatives, or flaws with this guitar...
Thanks for your time!

I am by NO means a gear person! I suspect ESP Viper will be along soon to answer you! He knows everything about gear! :D
Here is a site that may get you started until he logs in! http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data4/Ibanez/GRX40-01.html
Good luck! :p

For 200 bucks Ibanez will be a pretty good choice. Since you are a beginner you do not want to go with high quality, kick ass tone guitars. If you know anyone that plays guitar and knows guitars pretty well, have them play that ibanez and let you know how it is (on the beginner's level). They should know you're not looking for a PRS or Jackson custom shop :).

Hey thanks alot guys, but if truth be told, i dont know anyone who is good with guitars...Or anyone who has one for that matter.
I also live no-where near a music store, so i was thinking of buying online...Is that a good idea?

Yeah, get it online. Since that's your only option. I haven't ever bought a guitar online, but I know people who have. One guy had nothing but touble, the other guy got his guitar with no problems and loves it. They both got them from musicans friend.
