How do a slide like 7/ or /7 which says slide to nowhere in particular or slide from nowhere in particular???Play a open string and slide upto 7??

My guess would be 7/ means slide from 7 to ... hmm. /7 I think would definately mean slide up to the seventh fret.

I ussaully start about on the 2nd or 3rd fret and slide up, but you can start from wherever.

I dont think it really matters exactly where you slide to or from. Its just for effect. With a slide after a note, you sort of release the pressure gradualy as you are sliding anyway.
