Does anyone know any sites for OFFICIAL guitar tabs? i've been to a zillion sites, but every now and then, you find only one tab for a song you want to play and its wrong. So let me know if you know of any good sites with official tabs, or 100% correct ones. thanks

Try www.powertabs.net Powertab is a program which will play the tab so you can hear if it's correct... and they always are. You can download it from here (http://powertab.guitarnetwork.org/downloads.htm) Version 1.7 at the top of the page.
They're not official... but they might as well be, most people copy them out of the tab books.

fury, they aren't ALWAYS correct, but the most of them are. A few I've d/led haven't been totally correct, like most of it is, but a few things like solos and stuff just sound out of it.
But if you check out the satriani ones, they are 100% correct. They guy copied them out of the tab book, I checked to see if he did (I have the tab book) and yeh they were... so anyway
powertabs good!

I downloaded three of the files, and a tab. i then clicked on the explorer, and showed them where to export. i then exported the tab, and got 1 line of **** with a bunch of colons. what the hell is this? I dont get an actual tab, and cant open it with anything. !!! ANGER

No really, it is easy. Download the software and install it. Then download a tab, it will open automatically in the powertab program. You need something to unzip them with as well (like winzip)
Oh, it doesn't work if you have one of those apple imac thingies, only a normal P.C (sorry, I'm clueless when it comes to computers, lol) Could that be the problem?
Well, you could do it the easier way, just search for official (ie) Megadeth tabs on yahoo or google
some bands like inflames have official tabs on their website.

...The explorer just extracts it to type...
I have no idea what that means, lol!
If you want, I can email you the winzip file from my computer, I'm not sure if that will help but it's worth a try.

lol!
no wonder, you d/led the tab explorer prolly, to change it into ASCII
you have to actually d/l the program power tab, not the upgrader, or the explorer.
Fury, could you give him the site to download it... the one at guitarnetwork

After you click the link, it takes you to pages at simtel.net, right? Click on one of the locations to download it, then install it once it's downloaded.
I don't know what more to say, sorry.
