Hi , This is my first time in here , I don't know if this question has been asked before , but what is the differance between round strings and flat , and does one make a squeaking noise , when you slide your fingers up and down the fret ?

Yep. The wound round strings can make a squeeking kind of sound if you leave your fingers on the strings as you slide up and down the neck. The strings that have a flattened outer surface will have less squeek BUT you will also lose tonal quality (unless you prefer that sound).
