Does anyone know of a downloadable program that enables you to write standard notation?

A few commercial ones i know of are

the second one has a fully working downloadable demo, that requests you to register it within 30 days, but didn't stop working, (although I would have to say you *SHOULD* really be paying these people) ;)

codamusic has a free program called 'note'pad, ( a little pun on words there i think) - you just have to register to be a member of their site. when you register it gives you a serial number for the program and FREE technical support.

I have only used 'notepad' once or twice, so I can't give it a 'thumbs up' or a 'thumbs down'
