Anybody know how Zakk makes his pinch harmonics sound so cool? Does he use any special techniques?

I think he plays a lot of harmonics on the bass strings (EAD)

A lot people say to do pinch harmonics by lightly pulling or plucking the desired string between your thumb and forefingerr. I read a zakk wylde interview somewhere and he said he does it by choking up on the pick a lot and then kind of hitting the string on the "sweet spot" over a pickup. Basically I do the same thing I hit the string letting my forefinger nail contact first then following through. I play a les paul so i usually hit the string a very little bit behind the bridge pickup when im on treble setting. I find its a little harder to do on strats. But on dual humbucker guitars like zakk's you can really make it scream.

I'll bet he uses a very heavy pick, if not a steel pick, and probably some heavy gauge strings on his LP...I like his sound also..My fav is still Jake e Lee with Ozzie though...

I tilt my hand inward, so my thumb inevidably toutches the string. That way I dont have to reposition my pick.
