Gibson, almost all of my guitar heroes, play em'. Like a Gibson sound too. Sorry, cant really come up with some cool reasons.:p

I snagged my first real git back in the mid sixties.
I've had an SG ever since. (Gibson for some of you)

There are some dynamite instruments out there. The quality of some (gibson) has gone down, imo, while some of the other brands have tightened up their quality.

I played a Gretch Duo Jet Saturday. What a fine instrument that was. Very nice, excellent responce. Solid body with a hollow chamber in it. (in my opinion, the hollow chamber is a selling gimmick, anyone who know, I'd like to hear your opinion) It was something only a fairy of my dreams could create.

But looks ain't everything.
My SG has a mahogany body, so does the Duo Jet.
My SG has a mahogany neck, so does the Duo Jet.
My SG weight about two pounds less, and if ya don't think that's important, wait till your an old geezer like me. Every hour on stage is a feat of indurance.
I can tweak my SG and amp, and come very close to the sound of the Duo Jet. But I like the sound of my SG, the feel as I caress the neck and ,,,,,,,,,,,,
My SG's action is equal to the Duo Jet's.
Those are the things that are important to me. If my SG were heart shaped and painted red and yellow and still felt, played and sounded like it does now, I'd probably be playing that funny looking guitar.

But I still like my SG over and above any other git I've ever handled.

I said gibson, I love their sound. Plus all my heros either play S.G.s or Les Pauls with the exception of a few who play strats. So Fender would probably be second just because of the Strats.

I would have to say my favorite brand is ESP, for 2 reasons.
1. I have one
2. Nicely equipt (electronics, pickups, etc...)for the price

I also like gibson, but i can't afford one. so actually i dont like them because of their high prices. :eek:

I'm a bit partial, as I'm about to become the owner of one, but I really do like Epiphones. I mean, I'll probably want to get new strings and pickups, but I'd rather drop a few hundred into strings and pups than to pay a few thousand more for a different name on the headstock...

...at my level of skill, I couldn't justify buying a Gibson, even if I won the lottery...which isn't to say that I wouldn't still do it, just that I wouldn't be able to justify it.

hey my personal favourite is probably epiphone at the moment for 2 reasons
1. i own 1 lol
2.there reliable guitars and have a good sound
ive heard a lot of people say epiphone are crap but i dont know what people have againt them there a good guitar i havent found any problems with mine and its sounds awesome with a emg zw set
