View Full Version : Good feedback on a Line 6?

I'm having trouble generating good-sounding feedback with my guitar. I've got a Line 6 Flextone amp and a Squire Strat with Seymour Duncan pickups. I've tried making feedback by holding my guitar close to the amp with the volume and drive up loud, but all I could get was a really loud humming sound. It might have been feedback, but it didn't sound very good. How do I get a high-quality or at least higher-pitch feedback sound? Is it even possible with a Line 6? I'm not sure how the amp works or if it's any different from a regular amp (I'm sure I could find out but I'm too dumb to understand these things), but if it's different maybe that's why I can't get feedback. Can anybody help me out?
Thanks

i got the flextone too, and if you really want to feedback right, maybe youve tried this already, but you need to turn the noise gate off on the amp, you just hold the tempo button down, and then turn the effects nob to bypass, and to put it back on, you hold the tempo down, and put the effects nob to anything but bypass, also, get close to the amp, and let the amp play into your pickups, try fretting chords and you can get different pitches out of it, basically just make noise then let it feed into your pickups. but remember to have the noisegate off. hope i'm helping a little bit, btw, this amp is a b**ch to get it to overdrive nicely, but so are most digital amps.

do anything but, don't just mute the strings, let them vibrate a little bit
