aight. Check it out. I'm trying to get my distortion sound finalized.
I'm running through a Warp-7 halfstack, using a Boss GT-3 pedal, playing on an Ibanez. I've opted to either use the Warp-7's distortion or use the clean channel and use the GT-3's distortion. The upside to the Warp-7's distortion is it's got the good thick bottom end, but zero clarity. The upside to the GT-3 is that I can grab much clarity but push the tone into muddy when I try to dial in the low end, and I know nothing about paramatric EQ's. The tone I hear in my mind is cutting yet punchy without having too much feed back. I listen to Fear Factory, Deftones, Megadeth, Prong, etc. (you get the idea)...so if anyone could school me on how to use EQ to solve this riddle I would appreciate it!
