Hey folks... I'm looking for wierd sounds to spruce up the old solos and get away from the speed metal thrash chord progression palm muting sound...... you know what I mean.

theres one trick my friend found while buggering around on the guitar.Spin you pick 90degrees ,with the side or a$$ end of your pick quickly rub the strings as if you where strumming them (kind of like a pick scrape but strumming) if you managed to decipher my babbling you should get alot of weird sounds, its probably already been found and named but its not a pick scrape

Palm mute the strings near the neck pickup, and rub something metal on the high e string. You get R2 D2 sounds =D

get a Furby, y'know the kid's toy, and switch it on, it will start to make movements and noises, hold it up against your pickups and the electronomagnetic interference will make weird noises

or, get someone to ring you on your mobile phone, hold this against the pickups for similar wierd noises

or, a tv remote control can make wee beeping noises is you shoot it your pickups.
