Speed picking

Hi, I'm trying to play this simple riff very fast. Problem, my altrenate picking sucks completely and the riff comes out inconsistent.

--10-9-7-10-9-7-10-9-7-- etc

--12-10-9-12-10-9-12-10-9

I'm trying to play these as fast as possible, anybody got pointers on alternate picking? yes, i've read about it on this site and I practice it every day for like 2 hours.

here's a tip, don't practice it every day for 2 hours, because your hand will turn into a claw.


practice with a metronome, playing on the beat, and keep speeding it up until you are really fast.

Dont play it fast. Play it really slow in the beginning. YOu have to build up the minor muscle memory. I dont mean slow it down to a normal pace, i mean REALLy slow for awhile. Youll get immensely faster that way.

play it slowly, well good riff :)
