On "Welcome to ther Jungle" at around 3:25, Slash makes a very high pitch noise. On the video he's playing around the 14th fret, but isnt actually fretting any notes. I dont think its a natural harmonic, unless he slides from 12...

Does anyone know how to make this noise?

He's using a slide (I assume) judging from the noise he makes which flows into this high pitch noise your talking about. You set your guitar on the lead pickup, so the full length of the vibrating sting is picked up. Then you slide right up to the pickup, as if the fets went that high. Thats why you must use the slide, you cant play that high otherwise.
And another cool thing you can do is move the slide over the pickup, making this cool star trek kind of noise. A chrome slide works best for this.

Slash playes a Les Paul. He doesn't have a whammy bar, remember.

Yeah, he's using a slide. He probably just stood and did nothing in the video because he didn't have a slide.

or maybe there's a whining puppy in the studio and it just happened to get itself recorded at that moment in the song. we'll never know...

He's using a slides, after the sliding part he does some harmonics
thats what I assume, Slash is a guitarist with variety; which makes him the best guitarist in my opinion

Yeah...I love GnR...to bad Axl is such a bich....now we know that AXl was the problem with them breaking up....you all see that their recent tour was halted because sponsors were sick and tired of Axl's idiocies?

I'd give anything to have the old lineup back

Is that Slash? Cuz the intro he played in Welcome to the jungle sounded just like the original.....

So is BucketHead really Slash's alter ego?
Or is he just some kid who was beaten by his parents all the time
and turned crazed and stupid......???? :rolleyes: :confused:

p.s. I heard that musicians with alot of issues are very talented;
well look at me, I have 100's of issues and so far I'm not like Zakk Wylde, whats wrong? Not enough Issues? well let me go and paint my room black and isolate myself from people :rolleyes:

Hi guys,
i'm also a fan of slash. Axl Rose maybe an idiot but he is a good vocalist, isnt it? But i hate him for breaking up Guns N' Roses. Anyway, anybody have any news of slash and his snakepit??? i heard that he is working on his solo project...i wish the snakepit is still together. They are a really good band.
