Great exercise!

Not enough bass players practice string skipping. I think it is important for players to develop their own exercises based on maybe some chromatic moves [not standard scales] combined with string skipping. Take the difficult pattern and move it up and down the scale in unusual intervals. First half steps. Then whole steps. Then throw in minor third steps.

This will really help to get you creating outside the "box" you might be stuck in.

That's some solid string skipping. I really need to do more of this so I'll get on it.
