you only really need to post this once.
you ask many questions grasshopper.
cyberfret has a scales area and a chord chart...
what you want to learn is theory and composition. it would take books give you the lowdown. one thing that is a big deal (beyond theory and composition) is listening to a w-i-d-e variety of musical styles. listen to how others put together different elements of songs, listen to the little things like passing notes/chords and how they are used. listen to how others have used the musical form. then take what you like and incorporate that into your style. don't limit yourself into doing what your idol does, but look beyond that and see what you can do.

k i have a question to add here...........
with the scales, ive heard (i never took lessons so i dunno) that u can put together chord progressions using the notes of the scale as roots for chords......is this true? and also when u go off on a solo what relation should the scale have to the chords?

I'll try to answer this without it becoming a book:
you can do this buches of ways. the two most common ways are:
1) point, this is when everyone does the changes at the same time. for example the rhythm goes to A, the lead will play the root (A)then use the rest of the scale to follow the melody line (rather embellished). this is the most common way it's done. everyone plays in parallel/unison if you will
2) counterpoint, this is a bit different... if the rhythm is in E the lead will play in A (the IV of the root), in other words the solo plays in harmony with the melody line.... or... as typical in modern jazz the solo plays in dis-harmony with the melody line. everyone plays in harmony but different.
keep in mind the same holds true with tempo as well
