This is just a simple question but i need to know.
on chords when u mute some strings there's a litle x where ya mute but what if there isn't, do u still mute or what.Like:
--------7----------- Do I still mute the 2, 3,and 4th strings?
--------------------
--------------------
--------------------
--------10----------
--------------------
Thanks.

eeer, as I know it, no, you just play the two notes written out together...

...btw: what kind of chord should that be??? - just a g and b???

Thanks. It says it's a G on the tab.

hmmm, a full g-chord would contain a d too, so maybe in this case...

...I mean look at the notes you play there

7th - b
open - b
open - g
open - d
12th - g
open - e??? - now exept this low e all of the notes belong to a g-chord, so you could use them for an overall-strum, if you mute the e-string...

Its an interval, im not sure which one because i never learned the names but thats waht it is. Its a chord with 2 notes instead of your standard triad.

yeah, it's a third on first sight, but with an octave-gap between the notes, it's just that I wouldn't call that a chord, maybe just because I play too many two-voiced songs ;) ...
