Can some one help me!
I need to know how tabs work, and how to read them.

Are they regular guitar chords?

tabs work on the basis of the 6 strings of the guitar:

so the lines are like this:

high e string -------top line-------
b string -------next line------
g string ----------------------
d string ----------------------
a string ----------------------
e string ----------------------

the numbers you see on tabs indicate the note played and at what fret to play it

ie.

--------1---------
------------------
------------------
------------------
------------------
------------------

means play the high e string at the 1 st fret

see, it's easy

a 0 means it's an open string, chords are like this:

--3----------
--3----------
--0----------
--0----------
--2----------
--3----------

for a G chord, they're all on top of eachother cos your meant to play them all at once

hope this helps.
