I was thinking about a few thing last night, maybe you can help me with them.

Firstly, why is the the key of C major the one without any flats and sharps, surely logically A major should be the one.

Also, why are there only 7 note names, 12 would be better
(A B C D E F G H I J K L) and then get rid of flats and sharps. (So A sharp would be B instead)

I've been getting into Classical music lately and one thing occured to me, I don't know any female composers. Is it just a sign of the times or are there some but I just haven't heard of them?

hehehehe....I suppose as with just about anything...sometimes you just have to accept that things work the way they do and there is no particular reason for it...for example..we still don't know why electricity moves down a coper wire...but it does...

strangely enough..i can't think of any female composers either...or female hair dressers in the movie industry..hehehe
