I'm in love. No denying it. No reprieve. No pardon. I walked into a guitar store I hate, hoping that my favorite sales person in the world would be there since I refuse to deal with any of the boneheads who work there and got a big smile from her. She's a beautiful young woman and when she said 'Come into the back room here there's something I want to show you' (take it easy guys) my heart leapt knowing I was going to see some kind of goody. She sat me down with a Fender Strat Texas Special (wait it get's better) and plugged me into a Fender Cybertwin. My life will never be the same again. From a 84 Subaru (which is worth about a 10th of what my music stuff is worth, gotta keep my priorities straight) to warp speed in a single bound. If you haven't tried one yet, God help you, you'll be in love just like me. (I wonder if that rich uncle has forgotten what I called him yet. Hmmm!!!)

I have heard great things about this amp. I have to get out and try one. Man, I wish I would have won the lotto yesterday :)

I haven't had the pleasure of pluggin into a cybertwin, I'd like to. I have a feeling they're pretty nice, since they're designed to compete with the johnson milleniums. The johnsons are nice! So I bet the 'twin is too. Though, I love the new software modeling, and I am very accepting and open of it... It still isn't a tube amp. I have the POD and I can't get enough of it. They are VERY tube-like for being a small, compact thing. But nothing is like having a 5150 stack or even the combo at 6 post gain and 7 pre gain!!!! That right there is a rush! I went off subject :)

ESP_VIPER - You may have seen this in one of my other posts, but it is tubes and transistors. They even replicated little details such as whether the speakers in the originals moved forward or backward. It also has more flexibility than the originals.
130 watts, so it's pretty big too.

I've not been able to plug into one either, but I saw a 48 min. video for it at Fender's website (which I'd recommend a broadband connection for if you're gonna check it out), and can't get it off my mind.

are you in love with the chick, the guitar, or the amp?
(doesn't have to be an either/or)

about two weeks ago i had the absolute pleasure of playing one of my favourite ever guitars (Maverick X-1 Extreme) through a cyber twin.

two peices of kit i'm nowhere near being able to afford, but **** me they sounded great.

My one complaint with the cyber twin is the preset sounds - they'er fantastic and theres loads of em, but sometime you feel they aren't showing off the true unequaled potential of the amp. with alot of time and alot of practice you can conjure up even better sounds through the thing.

plus, i think one of the settings on it was called 'shred' or summit along those lines, the most beautiful metal distortion sound known to man!
