Lotus bass guitars?

I recently purchased my first, used Lotus bass guitar from a guitar shop for $135. I have no idea what model it is but it looks just like a Fender Squire bass guitar. As far as i know, it plays good, but this is comming from a beginner.. Anyway i'd like to hear everyone's opinion on this guitar and wether it was worth the money or not.

never heard of them im afraid, at your (our , actually) end of the market theres loads of different bass manufacturers floating around, some dont even have websites. As your first bass, as long as your happy with it and you think it plays nice thats all that counts. a guitar you like will always be ok for thaat money

I currently play bass, but started on guitar - my first guitar was a Lotus strat.....I loved it, but the more I learned about guitar I hated it - it would not stay intune to save its life - for a beginner I always recomend low end yamah series guitars and basses - they are a little more than the lotus series, but as you get better you tend not to run into these annoying little issues of poor intonation - now that was on a guitar....I have never used there basses before. Lotus might have corrected some of these issues.....if your just starting though I always suggest going cheap....why buy a 2000$$$ bass and then not like it....dont let the bass snobs get you down either....I think you are on the right track

i too started on a lotus.hey its a bass.have to start somewhere.i would recommened gettin it looked at by a guitar repair guy(luthier),mine had all kinds of neck problems and the wirin was screwy,after those were fixed it was like a new bass.i have since moved on to a fender p-bass,but if i would have waited for that"bass that so and so plays" i would have lost a year of playin.i couldnt find any info on them either.mine is built like a tank(i dropped it tryin to do my flea impersonation,picked it and keeped playin).hope this was helpful.
