First time i heard tom morello of rage against the machine it changed my whole idea of what a guitar should be used for, that guy can make his guitar make some crazy noises, and he plays with a realy simple three pedal set up, now thats skill. anyway i think this style is cool, so if anyones got any methods of making guitars cry, scream, explode or sound like a helicopter post em here.
Well, I know a few tricks...
You can use remote controls to get some crazy sounds. Just point the censor fairly close to your active pickup and push a button. The sound differs for every remote. Some will give cool radar like noises while others might give actual notes.
Using other electronic devices such as drills, electric toys, or anything else that puts out an electric signal, will produce similar effects.
For the "helicopter" noise, you have to have a guitar with 3 pickups. You just turn the middle one on and mute the others, then flip the pickup selector back and forth.
for tricks with the whammy bar, try these for starters:
1. Divebomb: strike the low e string and depress the bar.
2. The Car: strike the low e string and "rev it up" with the whammy bar, requires distortion.
3. The Lizard Down the Throat: very difficult, hit a note on any string, and slide it down the neck of the guitar, while simultaneously depressing the whammy bar, try and hold the same note the whole time.
4. Windmill: play a note, and turn the whammy bar 360 degrees around, again and again really fast - but be careful! don't rip it off!
5. Another cool trick: play a right hand tapping tremolo on the G strng like this: ------14---11---14---11---14---11---etc and pull up on the string with your left hand, gently!

The wicky, wicky, or basically use a lot of distortion and slide your pick on the bass stings just above the pickups. Oh! and open slide into **** and then do a virtabro(cant spell) with a whammy petal to make it stick out more.(just on the note)
