Accoustic/electric techniques

Okay, just to get this straight, which techniques are taught on this site for electric guitar that aren't meant for accoustic? For example, I had the hardest time understanding why I couldn't get any result from my attempts to bend notes on my accoustic, then I realized that it's a technique for electric guitar, right? Are there any other techniques like that I need to know?

Playing bends is the only technique I can think of off hand that you would have trouble applying to the acoustic guitar. But you could work on half step bends....it is just those whole step been that will cause the most problems. Of course playing with a whammy bar is out, but I don't have any lessons for that on the site :)
