Hi, ive been playing classical on my acustic gut yesterday i got a squire by fender electric guitar. I wanna learn some very eay jazz pieces and get better so i can get in my school jazz band thanks.

Give a little more direction where you're looking to take it. Do you want to be the melodic force or play accompaniment? How does the audition work? If you have to play by yourself you'll probably want accompaniment. You could try My Favorite Things. Its got a good rhythm and melodic track. Anything by Charlie Christian and Wes Montgomery are good. Heres a site i found that has a bunch of standards in it. http://guitar-primer.com/Charts/index2.html

buy something by the Pat Metheny group, and learn some of it

actually ill be palying with a electric base a ton of altos and trombones tubas and stuff

I'm not a jazz player, but some times me and my friend free-style some jazz for the fun of it. Try learning your scales, than it will come to you.

ummm try learning something like, "Girl From Ipanema", "All of Me", "Autumn leaves"
