I found this old acoustic guitar in our house. I went over it, lowered the action, and purchased new strings. There's one problem...I have no clue how to string it! I have a system on my electric where i dont have to tie (or whatever) the strings in. I just lock them in. So anyway, if anyone can give me a clue how to string the thing, it would be great.:D

I'm assuming nylon strings since you said you need to tie them in? If so what you do is, pass the string through the hole, bring the end back up and wrap it around the nylon string above. Continue wraping it several times descending toward the tie hole(make sure the tie isn't so long it'll interfere with the bridge) then pass the short end through the hole at the bottom of the knot and pull it tight. The pressure of the wraps and the binding at the tie hole will keep it in place.

i have no clue what nylon stringe are, and i cant "tie" the thinker strings in a not. They're all "metal like" if that helps any.

HI
Wow this sounds totaly like the time I got my first guitar. In my case I too had no clue as to how to string it so I took it to my local guitar shop. For the price of the strings the set the guitar up for me. Yet beware not all guitar stores will do this for you so call before you go.
Hope I could help

Hi Terrefirma, here's a site that can describe what to do very well. Just go to the section titled "About your guitar", and about 5 pages down you should find what you're looking for. Have fun!
