I'm looking for original good music to listen to..... I don't care if they have a major record deal and are on radios all the time, just something good. I don't care what genre they are also. here is what I recommend:
1) Liquid tension experiment (they play instrumental songs but they are really good)
stuff I listen to:

red hot chili peppers
Lit
Green Day
Jimi Hendrix
Rage against the machine
Ozzy ozbourne
Incubus
Guns n' roses
Foo fighters
and much more....

AnUprightMan...I like your way of thinking :) Someone in control of their own music listening destiny. The corporation.....the man....doesn't tell you what to listen to. 10 of those bands/artists I have never even heard of, so I will make it my homework to check them out. But ya got Maceo on there, so they can't be half bad...haha.

their is a site called www.hearlive.com (http://www.hearlive.com) this site has like 100 or more artists ranging from pop(stuff you have not heard), jambands, bluegrass, and jazz.
it is a greats site, all live shows.
only bummer is that they are mp3, so you can't trade them

does anybody know of any websites where I can find some unpopular indy (independent) bands or artists??? thanks for any posts... I'll check out all the artists other people have listed..... I just have a unique sense of music.......
