Anyone out there know of any sites that can help me to learn how to read sheet music/notation whatever its called. i know nothing!
actually the notes f a c e are in the middle of the lines on the stave? righT??

Try www.musictheory.net It's got loads of information, it's what I used to get to grips with it.

I did look around on cyberfret...but couldnt find that area of the site, must of not looked hard enough!

i know it sounds newbieish in fact it is !

you can download a pdf file over there that teaches you the basics of reading.

and it worked for me too!

sheet music isnt too hard to read, its only hard to read it quickly.

starting with the bottom line of the treble staff, the notes read as e, f, g, a, b, c, d, e, f.

e, g, b, d, f are all the lines. a good way to remember the notes is using the phrase every good boy does fine.

the spaces between the lines are f, a, c, e. and the best way to remember the note is that they spell face.
