Oh Man! I have tried them all. Just about every one that you have listed. For the price the Ibanez cant be beat. I just bought an Ibanez PF105NT and Im here to tell you that I am so glad that I chose this guitar.
I do see an Ibanez AW in my future.=-) Go with the AW you wont be sorry.

i got an ibanez aw100 and i just love it. it costs about 100 more than what youre looking for, but if u can come up with the extra bill, i dont think youll regret it.

I've played them all (at the store), owned an alvarez (ad60k), they are all good choices... I prefer the alvarez, but I would take a ibanez on stage any day. you may want to consider bumping that up a lil'bit (say to $300) you'll be happy you did

i tried the ibanez and the martin yeserday at guitat center. i like the martins sound a little better, seemd like ther was too much laminate on the ibanez, the martin had a fuller tone. whats everyones take on the martin? i havent tried the alvarez or washburns yet cuz they dont sell them at guitar center. anyon know of any places in the san diego area i can try these acoustics?

Theres no other guitar out there quite like the Martin. I was just trying to save you money. I love the Ibanez line up. Did you try the Artwood series? Another nice guitar would be the Seagull. I would put them right up there with the Martin.

If you are like me - you've already made your purchase. But yesterday I purchased an Alvarez - OMG. What an awesome guitar. $400 and flawless - sounds almost as good as a Taylor and looks better.

I'm also thinking about getting a acoustic.
(maybe a ibanez aw too)

But, just in general, how are ovation guitars?

if i could make a suggestion i would tell you to look at the brand name called seagull.. their canadian made, by the same company that makes godin guitars. to be honest they arent too popular down in the states.
their probably priced somewere around 250 american, but they are worth much more, iv played $600 acoustics that hardly compair to a baseline seagul, their probably the most playable acoustic arount. their great for begginers, and i am looking for a used one, or even a new one cause their so cheap to add to my 'collection'

Just wanted to add that I agree with George1098. Any guitar from Godin is a good buy, you get a very good sound for the price. My acoustic is an Art & Lutherie, also a Godin family guitar. An excellent first guitar.

hey Big "b"

Yeah, My recommendation is the MArtin DX1, you can't go wrong with Martins...If you can get a Takamin0e, that would be great too....I recommend the Tak over the MArtin anyday...only because i play one...i'm sure you'll get a nice one though...
