I thought it would be interesting to see what guitars people are playing and what they think of it. You can usually find a link to a website that has a picture of the guitar and a description. Here's mine. Probably best not to post the picture on this site due to the size of some graphics files.

This is an gorgeous guitar for the money. I think it was Guitar Player mag that said in 98? that it was the Yamaha that Gibson should have built.

It has a great feeling neck (bolt on) and cutaway which allow good access to high fret positions. It's tone control is very broad making the sound very versatile. Tuning pegs are very positive and are adjustable. The P90 knockoff dogear pickups are great. 3 position switch is solid. Had trouble getting a proper case proper case for it and due to the bolt-on neck I'm thinking of having the frets dressed to get rid of very minor buzzing and slightly rough corners on the edge of the neck. Paid $650 Cdn for it. It's a keeper. I've read many comments from others who own it who say with would part with it only for $ in excess of $1000 U.S. I agree. This guitar was a steal.

Cool. When DeArmond was blowing out all of their guitars about a month ago, I bought a X155. $300 US....is was a steal. I really love this guitar. A great feel, great tone.....and a great price always adds a little extra affection for the axe :)
