Guys i need some help...

Ive been working on my speed picking and have sortof hit a wall. It seems that success of chromatic runs etc. is now totally dependent on my left hand (im right handed) and i cant hit the board any faster than i already am. Also any resources on the web for more info on this technique??

Do a search for Jamey Andreas. Sounds to me like you're hitting the wall because of tension. Any tension anywhere in your body will stop you like a mac truck. Jamey publishes a small book that covers technique. Speed is a byproduct of accuracy and correct technique. If your sloppy or tense, you're finished. Jamey also publishes a weekly newsletter. Sign up.

I also have a book called Chops by Howard Roberts. Don't know if you can still find it but it's awesome if you can handle the altered chords that you must record as a rhythm track to improvise to.
