Slide/Bottleneck?

I was thinking about getting into that kind of stuff (playing guitar with a slide, not slide guitar on your lap kind)

But i was just wondering, what kind of music do you play with it? Blues right?
And how do you play it?

You can also play some cool rock licks with a slide.

Yeah I'm interested in getting into slide playing too. Anyone know any other easy slide songs to get me started or have any general tips about slide playing?

i got a slide a few weeks ago and i cant find any good tabs for it. srv - slide thing and srv - give me back my wig are two good slide songs that i cant find the music too and im not going to buy the music.

slide is all about feel and touch... it is almost like learning a new instrument. you need to feel yur way thru a solo. you will have to do some different tunings to get the right sound.
