yup, I knew I forgot a lot, I just put the ones that came to mind first. I can't believe I forgot Taylor though.:)

Was a toss up between Martin and Gretch.
Since I feel that Gretch makes an acoustic with the same quality as Martin, only a bit cheaper, I voted Gretch.
I own a 1982 Gibson J30 E, and it is worth every bit as a Gretch.
What swayed me was the drop in quality and the high prices of Gibson in recent years.

You also forgot Guild. I had a D55 once and I still cry myself to sleep at night. :( It was very ornate and had a gorgeous finish. Playability was phenomenal and tone was unbelievable. If I could scrape up the cash, I'd pick up another. I swear this one was designed by superior intelligence.

hi alll

Wow what a good equestion we got in here today. For me it would ither be Gibson aj10 e or any Takamine product. In ither case your money is being put into a high quality guitar.

well, all i can say is, bring all those guitars round to my house and let my play them then i'll decide!!

Ive been playing for 4 years have have had a go on a takamine, yamaha, epiphone, encore and an applause all which sounded ok but not any better than my fender. (which i brought when i didn't know what i was doing really) If i had the money i would now probably go for a taylor.

They are the best for their price range IMHO.

ever heard of "Greco" anyone? I'm using my moms old guitar from like 30 years ago and I haven't even seen anything about these guitars anywhere.:o :cool: :) :rolleyes: :D

Its not in the list so I post it here :)

My favorit acoustic guitar is an Aria. Its in our family for about 30 years now. An very old guitar wich need a repair. It has to get re-fretted etc..... But it plays absolutely good. I have learnded my first notes and chords on the baby :)

Well, since you don't list Taylor or Larrivee I can't vote. I like Taylor models up to the last couple of years, as they have cheapened them these last two years.
I have a 1996 Taylor which I love.
I have had 3 Martin (traditional models) and they where great guitars, the one cheaper model Larrivee I have owned was a fine guitar.
