ok, so i have a question.

My friend and i were having a little disscusion, and we were wondering...how many guitars are playing that song? (studio version). It almost sounds like two...not actually, to me it DOES sound like two guitars.

Can anybody answer this stupid question for this measly beginner?

i used to have the sheet music for that song, and if i remember right, it was one guitar, a violin and billie joe's vocals. im pretty sure there was no second guitar.

theres no second guitar at all, and if at one point it sounds like it.. which i havnt noticed, its just studio editing.
