I was wondering if you have ever used or know someone who plays the FENDER HOT ROD DEVILLE 212 - any comments on the overall performance of this 60W 2x12 tube amp would be appreciated...

Fender amps are pretty good, they don't get alot of credit though.

I have a Carvin SX 100D, which is a 100 watt solid state 1 x 12 amp. It has 4 effects with 16 different effects options. At $399 regularly and $349 on sale it was a no brainer.

A lot of people don't consider Carvin because they are a mail order company. Well I'm fortunate to live near two of their stores (Southern California) and I've got to tell you that they are a well kept secret. Their guitars and amps are great quality, made in the US and reasonably priced.
