Does anyone know how to get the 'clicky' sound that Fieldy gets on the bass? Is it the effects that he uses... or is it all in the amp? And I read from somewhere that he tunes his 5 stringer in
A E A D G. Is this true?

That 'clicky' sound you are hearing is his slap style. The strings are tuned down so low that they just make noise against the frets. I personally find it annoying when someone's instrument is tuned down so low that it is pretty much a percussion instrument only.

fieldy has his bass tuned down 2 half steps (A-D-G-C-F) and he has some special technique to do that clicky sound; I found it described on some fan page.... try searching google for "fieldy"
