I'm going to buy my first guitar, preferably $150-200 and not TOO much over. I looked at these two: Epiphone PR-350S or Ibanez PF105SNT, they look good and i was just wondering what you think. Help me please!
thanks,
bobby

most people here dont really like epiphone, so theyd probably tel u to get the ibanez, but if its your 1st just try em both out and see which one feels better

what's wrong with epiphones?

a lot of people here diss epiphone and gobson, gibsons mainly because of the high price tag for average quality. epiphones will usually have weaker pickups (assuming you're getting an electric.) i have an epiphone sg and i really dont have any problems with it, but i have done some things to it (changed the strings to a higher gauge, raised the action and so on, and eventually im gonna get new pickups.)
another thing with epiphones, i dont know if its just sg's or not, but they often have problems with buzzing strings. for a beginner's guitar u wont need anything really great, so play the two and compare them and see which one you like better.

I have an Ibanez acoustic and it plays great. I paid about $400 for mine though.
But, buy a Taylor or Guild :) ! Play one and you'll see why. You'll have to borrow about $2000. So borrow $4000, buy two and give one to me. A Taylor will be my next acoustic.
Peace!
