hendrix tidbit i bet u dont know

hey, did anyone else know that jimi hendrix's birth name was john allen hendrix? he was renamed james marshall hendrix after his dad came home from the war. i didnt know that until a couple days ago.

another reason why im posting this is it puts some similarities between me and hendrix. he was born "john," my name is "jon." my dad's middle name is spelled the same way as "john's" (allen.) boy i hope thats enough to make the gods smile down on me and get me as talented as famous as that man :cool:

exactly. but the way i see it, ill die april 5, 2012, so ill be 27 years old and die the same day as kurt cobain and layne staley and be the same age as hendrix. of course, ill have to o.d. on drugs and give myself a shotgun wound to the head as im flying my small plane, that way i die the same way as all of the above people, plus randy rhoads.

"27"....."past your prime"....doesnt go together...

when you are a teenager you think people approaching 30 are getting too old to trust....lol...but when you are 25 or so you will realize its the people approaching/over 60 you REALLY cant trust.....of course by the time you are in your 50s you will just hate everyone younger than you....lol...they will all become "losers" and "leaches" in your eyes...

aint it funny how perspective changes with age?

i already hate everyone younger than me. i dindt like kids even when i was a kid ;) lol

yeah i dont think 27 is really my prime, i just wanna die before everything starts falling off of me :cool:

oh, and i work in a drug store, so i dont like people in their 60's or older either. funny how everyone seems to like me tho...:confused:

I've often wondered what a rock star like Hendrix or Cobain would do with all their fame and money if they had lived on. Hendrix would probably be playing guitar right now with a set of gold teeth. Cobain would be in a supermarket complaining about the price of apples or complaining about something no doubt.

ok srv died i think the same day hendrix did but years later. srv died 36 days before his 36th birthday. jimis name like you said was john allen hendrix but was renamed on SEPTEMBER 11th!!!!!!!!(yes 9-11) to James Marshall Hendrix. The creator of marshall amps is James something Marshall. Mitch Mitchell(drummer from jimi hendrix experience) took guitar lessons from james something marshall. wow!

i heard this and wanted to know if anyone could tell me if it's true or not, Hendrix would put drug tablets(can't remember exactly what it was) under that headband of his and then when he'd sweat they'd get absorbed in his skin... if this is way off don't look at me!! i just heard it from someone at my school.

hey dont worry i heard the same thing. im pretty sure it was true. how else would he play riffs like that the way he did? and the live stuff? i think he had to be high to improv like that lol :)

hah im 18 and i already think all kids younger are good for nuttin slackers with cell phones a 5 playstations... they all need to go get jobs... darn slackers..wont what i will think when im president,,, err i mean 50

yeah i hate pretty much anyone younger than me too. i even hated little kids when i was a little kid. im one of the few "younger" kids (17) that has some kind of work ethic, i just dont really use it towards schoolwork.

idk some of my friends are older than me, my oldest close friend is 20 but ive got others in their 20's (but they're more like acquaintances)

i definitely like older people, they usually seem more mature than people younger than me
