power tab learning question

ive been learning using power tab editor and when it plays with the midi i just play along and memorize it. ive been doing this but when i play by myself some parts are fast or slow. so i was wondering do you guys just print it out and than read the music at the top or what?

try learning what the note values mean and how to read them. you dont need to learn how to read music entirely, just the rhythms so that you can play along with just a metronome. play along with the little drumsticks in the background and tap your foot to it. and play the notes on the appropriate beat.
