I'd like to recommend this software:
"Audio Phonics Guitar Tuner"

I tried a lot of tuners for the pc but almost none of them had the ease of use and tuning-library like this one.

And it's freeware too wohoo :)

It's downloadable at:
ftp://ftp.audio-phonics.com/pub/apguitarsetup.exe

You all should really try this piece of software!

I just downloaded it and its nice. Everyone should download it even if you have a good tuner. It is fun to play with.

ive had it for a while (probly before some of you) and think it is ace. being particularly musically challenged i find it hard to tune meh guitar, and this baby makes it soooooo much easier, the only bitch is luggin meh guitar and amp downstairs (my mic is pretty crap, and i got no input for guitar to comp) If you aint got it, get it, even if you dont need it, it cud cum in useful!

Jameseh, your guitar can be plugged into the mic input of your soundcard. This will not damage your soundcard because the guitar itself hardly produces any electric voltage.

i know what your getting at, and dont think it never crossed my mind, but my mic socket is too small for the input. However, hopefully, when i get my spangly new computer, i'll wack a converter on it and see how it goes

You can get a 1/4" ->Headphone Jack size plug converter for a couple of dollars at radio shack. they're pretty cool. Some of the cooler things are getting one of those effects editors on the PC and messing around with different effects. but the only one i had used was shareware and had bad sound. are there any other better ones out there?
