Guys I was just wondering, I've seen this in a few places, what does the term 'going to 11' or 'jumping to 11' mean?
If somebody needs the context in which it can be used, it's at this website: http://www.musicfanclubs.org/rage/instrumentation.htm
Thanks,
Abe

I am assuming you're referring to #5, in which case they are talking about the controls on the EQ pedal being switched to 11 by turning the pedal on. Hope I could help ya!

Or it could just be a This Is Spinal Tap Reference?
I'd have to agree that it's a Spinal Tap reference.

thats the whole reason it was included in spinal tap, as a reference to a true rock attitude.
