Check out this little thing i wrote and recorded

I have a few things I wrote. This is just something I wrote last night, and it's the first thing I recorded. I'm using this ghetto recording system into my line-in of my sound card. The quality is absolutely horrible, but you will get the idea.

I kinda like it. I just need to extened some of the stuff out and I think it could be a whole song. Tell me what you think, and where I need to improve maybe.

I've been playing guitar a little over a year. My technical skills aren't up to where I want them, but I think from a creative standpoint the stuff I write is good. But I dunno.

sounds pretty good to me and I think you should post a link to the same tune when you have it all worked out the way you want it.

Thanks. I've never written an actual song. I just come up with these little pieces. I'm not really sure how to extend it out and stuff. But i'll play around. Any Suggestion?

I really need to get in a band so i can learn song structures and working with other instruments.

break it down, decide which part is the chorus and which is the verse. and i would suggest after what you have, adding in some heavy power chord runs, and possibly a small solo if u could manage it.
