I have an acoustic (obviously) and have just purchased a capo for it. I am wondering about the placement of it. I think it was Wonderwall that I was looking at the tab and the capo is on the second fret. So where exactly do I put it on the second fret? In the middle, directly on the fret, or just behind the fret? Thanks for any help.
Hello!!
Not that i know anything for definate but i always put the capo between the frets. I suppose just behind the fret is best but i find it gets in the way a bit there!
hope this helps

Put it just behind the fret. If You have it right in between and all the notes are sounding fine, it really doesnt matter though.

I place the capo in the middle of the fret. That way it is out of the way a little. Normally when you play a note, you will keep your finger as close to the fret bar as possible. You could press down in the middle of the fret, but you would have to press down a little harder. But the capo will keep a constant pressure on the strings, and therefore it is not as important to be just to the left of the fret bar.
