Internet tablature has to be written in a fixed width font like "courier new". If it is not, then it will look all jumbled like this.

e :-----------------------------------|-----------------------------------|
B :-----------------------------------|-----------------------------------|
G :----------------------3---3---0----|----------------------6---6---0----|
D :--3-----3-3---x-x-x-x-3---3---0----|--6-----6-6---x-x-x-x-6---6---0----|
A :--3-----3-3---x-x-x-x-1---1---0----|--6-----6-6---x-x-x-x-4---4---0----|
E :--1-----1-1---x-x-x-x--------------|--4-----4-4---x-x-x-x--------------|

But if you use the font "courier new", everything will line up correctly. You will sometimes see a tab like the example above on the Internet. What you can do is copy and paste into a word processing program and change the font.

e :-----------------------------------|-----------------------------------|
B :-----------------------------------|-----------------------------------|
G :----------------------3---3---0----|----------------------6---6---0----|
D :--3-----3-3---x-x-x-x-3---3---0----|--6-----6-6---x-x-x-x-6---6---0----|
A :--3-----3-3---x-x-x-x-1---1---0----|--6-----6-6---x-x-x-x-4---4---0----|
E :--1-----1-1---x-x-x-x--------------|--4-----4-4---x-x-x-x--------------|

There are a couple of ways that you can post tabs in this forum and have the formatting look correct. Both involve this message boards build in formatting codes.

For a complete list of these code, check out this link
http://www.cyberfret.com/vbulletin/misc.php?action=bbcode

You can either use the [FONT=courier new] tag, or even shorter you could use the [CODE] tag. This will automatically format the tab to a fixed with font. Place those tags before the tab example, and then after the example you need to put a closing tab..... I can't show you the exact closing tab or you will not see it, you would just see the previous text formatted differently, but it is in this format [/TAG]. Be sure to read the explanation in the link above and you will get it.
