IRC Channel?

After looking through the forum I have noticed alot of people carrying on conversations that have nothing to do with the thread title posted.

If you had an IRC channel then it would cut down on un-needed chatter in the forum.

If anyone would like a channel set up, let me know I can set one up in a jiffy.

I whole Heartedly agree as I am guilty of wandering from the subject. The only problem is that it's been suggested many times and nothing was ever done. We use PalTalk for nightly gatherings with the guys from the Marc Seal forum. Go for it and set up a room and let's see if we can get some people in it. might have to set up scheduled chats at first to get everybody in there at the same time tho.

Download MIRC Found here (http://www.mirc.com/)

Open Mirc or whichever Client you use
Click on file, connection, and fill out your name email and nick's
Hit ok
In the message field, where you type your message type /server irc.resum.net then hit enter
Once connected to ReSuM.net, in the message field type /join #Cyberfret
You are connected

Right. I've got everything other than the message bits. From the instructions that I have followed, the message thing hasnt come up.

your mother may have a point, from what I can glean this chatroom is full of nothing but crazed perverts. For example, someone called "Fizz" (God only knows WHAT that's an anagram of) just asked me would I like to "eat his chocolate donut", and I'm a guy.;)

Don't take one guy joking around as the whole room is full of perverts :confused:. I can tell you right now, I have chatted with these people for the past 2 nights and they are some good people I have met so far.

What exactly are you having problems with?

Open Mirc
At top left of Mirc click on "file" ----> "Options" then "Connection"
Put your email, and your names in the fields and hit ok.Do not connect
In the main Mirc application at the bottom there is a small long box where you can type.
In that box type this.../server irc.resum.net
You will see it connect and then stop
Now type.../join #Cyberfret
You are in and you should see my name and Fembot in the right hand box.
