I was talking to my freind (who happens to be very knowledgable with computers) said I should get a program called pro tools to help me to record some of my guitar playing on CD. I know it's quite expensive, I was wondering if anybody owned the program and recommends it or doesn't recommend it.

I think it is only a mere $8000. This is how most pros record in the studio these days. A limited amount of playing ability, pro tool, and all you have to do is cut and paste your hit together like a word processor. It has become an industry standard. If you would like a freeware version of this software, check out the link below. I am sure it is an extremely watered down version of the program, but....it is free and not $8000.

That does'nt seem fair... Sometimes i wonder if the digital revolution has hurt music as much as helped it...
